Simo D, editor-in-chief of Foreign Hub on a boat in Belize

That's me, Simo D, looking far too serious for the setting. My wife and I took a leap of faith and moved our family abroad in 2022. Although we’ve faced significant challenges when relocating internationally with a toddler, a 7-week-old baby, and two dogs in tow, we don't regret a thing.

Simo D

Simon Dauphinee is a former residential contractor turned freelance writer, blogger, and author. After nearly twenty years in construction, Simon moved to Belize with his family, where he pivoted to his new career.

 

Simon is the editor-in-chief of Foreign Hub, and the Lead Content Specialist for StratDev Digital Marketing in Los Angeles, California. He provides ghostwriting services to Emerge2 Digital, in Waterloo, ON and contributes regular articles to Green Building Canada. His self published book, Home In Good Hands: A Homeowner's Guide to Construction and Renovation, received the Finalist Award in the 2023 Readers’ Favorite International Book Awards. 


Simon lives in Belize with his badass art queen wife and two energetic sons. He explores his passion for travel stories, personal growth, and the nuances of life through his Substack publications, A Foreign Perspective, A Foreign Thought, and Foreign Words. He also hosts the Foreign Radio Podcast (a project under development) where he explores the challenges and rewards of living abroad.
